🌿 Green Pesty – Business Preparation Guide
Preparing for Your General Pest Spray Treatment
To ensure the safest, most effective and long-lasting results from your Green Pesty low-toxicity treatment, please complete the following steps prior to our technician’s arrival.
Our treatments focus on targeting breeding zones and pest harbourage areas — preparation helps us treat these areas thoroughly and safely.
🔹 1. Access & Clearance
✔ Clear items away from walls (minimum 30–50cm where possible)
✔ Remove items from under sinks (kitchen, bar, bathrooms)
✔ Ensure clear access to switchboards, storage rooms, and external perimeters
✔ Unlock gates and provide access to external bin areas
Why this matters:
Green Pesty treatments focus on perimeter and harbourage zones. Clear access allows us to treat the source — not just the visible pests.
🔹 2. Kitchen & Food Preparation Areas (Hospitality & Manufacturing)
✔ Cover or seal all exposed food
✔ Store food preparation equipment away where possible
✔Pack away cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils
✔ Cover coffee machines and POS systems
✔ Clean benches of food debris and grease build-up
✔ Empty internal bins prior to treatment
Compliance note:
Our treatments are designed for sensitive environments, but food contact surfaces must remain protected under food safety regulations.
🔹 3. Office & Reception Areas
✔ Remove paperwork from floor level
✔ Clear skirting boards and window sills
✔ Ensure pets (if applicable) are secured
🔹 4. External Areas
✔ Remove pet bowls and toys
✔ Move outdoor furniture slightly from walls
✔ Advise staff to avoid washing treated external areas for 5–7 days
Why this matters:
External perimeter treatments are critical to long-term pest prevention — especially for spiders, ants, and crawling insects. Washing treated areas down frequently will significantly reduce the product effectiveness
🔹 5. During Treatment
Staff and customers may remain onsite unless otherwise advised ( depending on treatment required)
• Avoid contact with treated surfaces until dry
• Drying time typically 45–90 minutes depending on conditions
Green Pesty uses low-toxicity, targeted products suitable for family-safe and sensitive business environments.
🔹 6. After Treatment
✔ Do not wipe treated skirting boards for at least 7 days ( the longer the better)
✔ Avoid high-pressure washing of treated exteriors
✔ You may notice increased pest activity for 7–14 days — this is normal as pests are flushed from harbourage areas
Our approach targets nests and breeding cycles — long-term control takes time.
Please allow 10-15 minutes at the start of the treatment to talk with your technician and complete a walk around the property discussing and highlighting any problem areas / recent pest sightings.
